En los sistemas de flujo continuo, la importancia de un evento decae r\u00e1pidamente; si no lo procesas en tiempo real, la oportunidad de actuar desaparece&#8221;, explica Riveros respecto a la urgencia que enfrentan estas tecnolog\u00edas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para Riveros, la invitaci\u00f3n a presentar la iniciativa en EDBT\/ICDT 2026 representa un reconocimiento a la calidad de la ciencia de datos producida en Chile. \u00abCORE es un importante avance te\u00f3rico, y tambi\u00e9n una soluci\u00f3n pr\u00e1ctica y eficiente, dise\u00f1ada para enfrentar problemas de escalabilidad que los motores actuales a\u00fan est\u00e1n tratando de resolver\u201d. <br><br>El acad\u00e9mico destaca que la herramienta tiene la capacidad de entregar informaci\u00f3n relevante a personas a cargo de la toma de decisiones en las \u00e1reas donde la informaci\u00f3n se est\u00e9 generando permanentemente y de manera constante. \u201cPensamos, por ejemplo, en smart cities, en eventos en redes sociales, sensores en reservas naturales: son muchas las \u00e1reas que est\u00e1n necesitando extraer informaci\u00f3n \u00fatil de los millones de datos que se est\u00e1n generando a diario\u201d, destaca.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s de los aspectos t\u00e9cnicos, la charla abord\u00f3 los problemas abiertos de investigaci\u00f3n en el \u00e1rea de CER, trazando la hoja de ruta para la pr\u00f3xima generaci\u00f3n de ingenieros y cient\u00edficos de datos.
